The Ideal Bagel
OVERVIEW
An AI short film about how far a person will go when they fall completely for one thing. Inspired by Wes Anderson's The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, it follows a character obsessed with finding the perfect bagel — told through Anderson's visual grammar of symmetry, pastel palettes, and head-on framing. It lands on a familiar but warm truth: any bagel tastes best when shared.
DECISION POINTS
Problem: How to ground an abstract theme — "obsession with one thing" — in a concrete subject? Choice: Built the story around bagels, something I genuinely love enough to eat every day, channeling that personal affection into the concept itself. Rationale: Obsession reads as real only when the subject is something I'm actually drawn to.
Problem: How to unify six tools (Midjourney, Higgsfield Cinema Studio, Kling, Seedance, Suno, After Effects) into one coherent tone? Choice: Locked the look and palette in Key Visual Image, then aligned motion, sound, and post to that reference. Rationale: Multi-tool pipelines tend to drift in tone, so establishing a single visual anchor early was key to keeping it consistent.
